At FEM ltd we can fabricate a wide range of metals, one of which being stainless steel. These stainless steel tanks were manufactured for the rail industry, and are fitted to trains with the purpose of storing waste from the onboard lavatories. The internal pipe work, frame, and mesh structure were all welded and tested to BESN 1090. Due to the nature of the product’s use, it was ensured that the material would be resistant to the correct levels of corrosion and would not allow any leakages from the tank. These tanks are now in use on trains that travel across the country on a daily basis.
