Ducts

FEM ltd recently worked on a large duct to be used in a ventilation system. Ducting is used in most cases for the removal and carrying or air or waste gasses from a closed environment, meaning it must be checked for any microscopic gaps in the welded areas that could allow gasses to leak back into the system. This testing can be done by using: visual inspection, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, and ultrasonic which are all examples of the nondestructive tests that we can carry out here in Sheffield. The customer also requested that it would be painted a glossy white finish which would make it look more aesthetically pleasing along with its precisely fabricated smooth custom-made side panels.
