What is Machining?

Machining is the process of creating desire shapes by removing material using machining techniques and tools. It is done to create specific and precise parts, objects or tools required for final products and equipment’s including engines, appliances, or mechanical projects. Machining is usually performed on many types of metals including steel, aluminium, iron, copper, and bronze. Our team of machinists are well trained and have the experience to carry out machining and decide which is the best process to use for each project and material.
Types of machining processes
- Milling: Process of using rotating cutting tool by advancing a cutter into a workpiece at a set speed.
- Turning: Process of cutting away unwanted material by rotating the workpiece using a stationary tool.
- Facing: Process of cutting a flat surface using a milling machine be moving the workpiece towards the cutter and across the cutter.
Machining tools have developed over time and now many machining projects are done using CNC Machining (Computer Numerical Control). It is a precision machining tool using a pre-programmed computer software to control the movement of the tools.
